How the test works
A base shape leans at an angle, and a second shape stands on one of its faces, balanced on a single point and spinning slowly. Tip the shape until its middle line stands straight out of the face it stands on, at a right angle to it in every direction, then answer.
In CST Practice you tip it with the arrow keys (fast) or W and S (slowly), or the buttons on screen, and press Enter. An answer under 1° off counts as right. A shape resting on a flat side, such as a disc or a coin, is right when that side lies flat on the face.
What to judge by
Judge against the face the shape stands on, not against the room. When the base leans, the right answer leans with it, away from upright. Picture a pencil standing straight out of that face and line the shape up with the pencil.
