How the test works
Each example shows two dice. Every die shows three of its faces, with a letter on each face. Decide whether the right die is the left one rolled to a new position (Same), or a die that no roll of the left one could give (Different). A letter can be turned on its face, but never mirrored.
The dice can share three, two or only one of their letters, and the hidden faces carry the other letters, so you cannot always see the same letters on both. It is about accuracy first, then speed.
The one rule that settles every pair
On a real die, each side of a letter (its top, bottom, left or right) always touches the same neighbouring letter, however the die is rolled. So you never need to picture the whole die turning.
Pick a letter that shows on both dice. Look at which letter touches each of its sides on the left die, and check the same sides on the right die. If a side now touches a different letter, the answer is Different. If every side you can check agrees, it is Same.
